In the early hours of this morning, a somber announcement was made regarding the passing of H.H. Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the brother of UAE President, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Born in Al Ain in 1965, he held significant roles throughout his life, including being appointed as the Representative of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi in June 2010 and serving as the Undersecretary of the Department of Planning in Abu Dhabi. Moreover, he was a representative of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Sheikh Saeed’s health had been a matter of concern latesly , and today, Thursday, July 27, he breathed his last. In honor of his memory and contributions, the Presidential Court has declared a period of official mourning lasting three days, with flags flown at half-mast from today until the end of Saturday, July 29.
This loss is deeply felt by the nation, and the UAE stands united in grief during this period of mourning.
