UAE pledged $50 million (approximately Dh183.9 million) to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

The aid aims to support health services (especially for women and children), develop educational programmes for the youth, and improve living conditions for over five million Palestinians.

The Emirati Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation praised the efforts of UNRWA in a statement. It also noted the international donors who have supported the agency so it can continues its vital work.

According to reports, UAE provided more than $364 million (over Dhs1.3 billion) to support Palestinians in the last two years.
