The UAE has issued an update in regards to travel rules and regulations in and out of the country.

The country is now open to tourists from all countries if they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Per a joint statement from the National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management and the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA), the recent update is “in line with the UAE’s strategy to strike a balance between the interests of the public health and sustainable economic recovery”.

From Monday, those who have proof that they have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the World Health Organisation will be able to apply for a tourist visa regardless of which country they are travelling from.

Vaccines can be officially declared by submitting proof to the ICA or via the Al Hosn App.

The following vaccines are approved by WHO: AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm and Sinovac.

All visitors who are fully vaccinated will be required to undergo a rapid COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival to the UAE.

For those who are not vaccinated, previous restrictions regarding travel from certain countries to the UAE remain in place.
