It’s hard to believe we’re heading into the final quarter of 2021. Seriously – where has the year gone?

While there’s only a few months left of this year, there’s still so much to look forward to including Expo 2020, the opening of Ain Dubai, the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 and much more.

In the midst of all this, there’s still two more long weekends to look forward to until the end of 2021.

October

Firstly, in October, the Prophet Mohammed’s birthday will fall on the 12 of the Hijri month of Rabi Al Awwal, which is projected to be around October 21.

Since this date falls on a Sunday, the UAE public may be enjoying a three-day weekend.

December

Then, at the very beginning of December, the UAE will mark Commemoration Day on the first of the month. The following day, December 2, marks UAE National Day, and it’s a special one as it’s the 50th anniversary of the UAE.

All in all, we can expect a four-day weekend from Wednesday, December 1 to Saturday, December 4.

As always, the final and official dates and public holiday eligibility for public sector employees and private sector employees are always determined by UAE authorities.
