From runways to stores, there is a clear shift towards colourful jewellery with a twist.

Thanks to the popularity of minimalist and sculptural pieces, the colourful stones feel fresh and contemporary and were spotted at Brandon Maxwell and Marc Jacobs SS20 shows.

Turkish brand Terzihan fuses traditional goldsmithing techniques with modern shapes, delivering unique pieces that are made to stand out.

The family-run business celebrates the brightness of Istanbul, interpreting the heritage in a way that’s unique and timeless.

For its latest collection ‘Neutra’, the brand embraces the colours of nature with the texture and shapes of the pieces being inspired by ancient cultures of Europe and South America. Malachite, Agate, and Lapis Lazuli meet the pyramids of ancient Egypt, the asymmetrical structures of the Aztecs and the domes of ancient European cities, and the outcome eye-catching and edgy.

“This collection was inspired by the beauty of life,” explains Creative Director,  Cem Terzihan. “When you look at nature and human history, there is so much beauty to explore and enjoy. ‘Neutra’ is for people who want to enjoy life and who see life as an opportunity to express themselves to the fullest.”

The collection is divided into four categories, including Cairo that features gemstone half-moons flanked along the straight edge by rose gold pyramids interspersed with diamonds.

Standout pieces include the maxi medallion pendants, with custom-made reversible gold bolt chains, as well as the bulbous ‘domes of Europe’ rings, featuring Black Onyx and White Agate spheres, inlaid with diamond halos and centre stones.
