Want to know what you’ll be shopping this season? Elizabeth von der Goltz, Global Buying Director of NET-A-PORTER, is your gal.

Travelling round the world to attend shows and presentations, Elizabeth and her team are on the front line of fashion and EW was one of the select few to attend their trend presentation in Dubai to learn exactly what the luxury online retailer is buying into. Let’s just say our wish list is already overflowing.

As keen as we were to learn about new brands and trends for SS20, we couldn’t help but notice the fabulous leather two-piece set that Elizabeth chose for the talk. Naturally we had to find out and it turned to be a Turkish designer Zeynep Arçay.

Taking one look at her pieces, and it’s clear that Zeynep loves working with leather and manipulating it in innovative ways. Soft and lightweight, the fabric feels like second skin. The earthly colour palette with accents of black give her collections a timeless sensibility, even the belted leather jumpsuit.

“My vision was to give leather a new identity and we did so by working with paper-thin leathers so lightweight they could be contorted and manipulated like any other fabric,” she says.

Based in Istanbul, Zeynep founded her eponymous brand in 2013, switching her career in technology industry in favour of fashion. It’s been her lifelong dream, but it was only when her mother sadly passed away that she decided to follow her passion. Now she can call Caroline Daur, Adriana Lima, Khloe Kardashian, and Kendall Jenner as firm fans.
