After many of months of avoiding a trip to the salon, EW’s Alexandra decided it was high time for a trim, and put her hair in the hands of Manuel at Pastels Salon.
“My hair is my ‘thing’. I’m happiest when my tresses are long and shiny, but after months and months of growing it out, my do’ was looking a little worse for wear. I decided it was time for a change and the newly re-vamped Pastels Salon in Ritz Carlton JBR, was the place to help.”
THE LOWDOWN:
Manuel was my hair stylist of choice. We’d collaborated on several EW magazine photo shoots together, so I knew I could put all my trust (and tresses) in his hands – even when he held up a long strand and quickly snipped away!
After a wash and head massage it was into the chopping seat, where we went through different styles, techniques and what would suit me best.
We decided that a few layers would change my hair for the better and add some much needed volume.
THE RESULTS:
My new cut with completed with a fabulous blow dry, leaving me with beautiful, bouncy locks.
