Titled Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project, the trailer follows the reality TV star as she looks through letters asking her for help. She is also seen interviewing the incarcerated’s relatives and friends, and has one-on-one discussions with the prisoners themselves.

She executively produced the two-hour film that aims to showcase her “efforts to secure freedom for Americans who she believes have been wronged by the justice system, ” according the network Oxygen. Requests for help came Kim’s way after she helped Alice Johnson with her case. Alice was initially sentenced to life imprisonment.

“The cases I showcase in this documentary showcase the broken aspect of our system. I hope that people can be more empathetic and feel that by giving people, like those featured in the ‘Justice Project’ a second chance, there is no danger to our society,” she told USA Today.

The reality TV star is currently undertaking a four-year law apprenticeship with a goal of taking the bar in 2022. “I’m raising four black children that could face a situation like any of the people that I help,” Kim said. “Just to know I can make a difference in my children’s lives and (others) by helping fix a broken system, that’s so motivating for me,” she continued.
