Become an Indie Kid
If you’re someone who needs some alternative vibes every once in a while, we’ve found the hottest new nightspot for you. Launching this Thursday, Indie Dubai at Indie Kitchen and Lounge is a standalone speakeasy in DIFC that strives to serve up nothing but straightforward food and drink and a provide comfortable environment for low-key hang outs. The interior décor is a blend of contemporary and vintage, with live performances of non-mainstream music and tapas and bar snacks served all evening. Oh, we’re going to Ibiza
This Friday at Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE, Montreal DJ duo BLOND:ISH are taking to the decks exactly one year after they played at the Blue Marlin season closing. For one night only, Berlin-based house DJ Santé will be joining them as part of Blue Marlin Ibizia’s Fire Festival. It might still be winter but with fire dancers and those provocative baselines, you’ll be feeling the heat all night. “Watch” an exhibition at The Dubai Mall
If you’re in Dubai Mall this weekend, visit the stunning Poetry of Time exhibition by French luxury watch brand Van Cleef & Arpels. Back for their fourth year, the exhibition will be showcasing the brand’s unique style in High Watchmaking. This year’s theme is nature; see birds and bugs brought to life on their gorgeously colourful watch dials with both new and limited edition pieces on display. WEEKEND DESIGNER SALE
Owner of S*uce and one of our favourite local designers, Zayan Ghandour is hosting a fabulous sale this weekend. ZAYAN THE LABEL STUDIO SAMPLE SALE will take place at The Change Initiative from Thursday to Saturday between 8am to 9pm. The sale will include samples from the past five seasons, including some never-seen-before unique one-off pieces. Get there early to avoid disappointment.
