Top 25 looks from Chanel Cruise 2023

For the second time since the iconic brand was launched, Chanel returned to Los Angeles for a cruise show.

With the recent opening of the largest Chanel store on Rodeo Drive in LA, the timing could not have been more perfect.

Think LA summers in the ’80s: Big blow outs, beautiful sunsets, Venice beach, fitted tank tops, snug shorts and of course, Jane Fonda with her aerobics. Virginie Viard drew her inspiration from all things quintessentially LA and intersperced it intelligently with Chanel’s signature house codes like the double C logo, layered jewellery, crisp tailoring and the classic tweed.

In terms of silhouettes, it ranged from pantsuits, skirt suits and coordinated sets to boy shorts, tank tops, dresses and jumpsuits. Ditching the summer colour palette of bright and vibrant hues, Virginnie kept it Chanel-friendly in ivory, grey, black, powder pink, brown with a hint of gold and mettallic.

Gracing the front row were all-time Chanel loyalists like Margot Robbie, G-Dragon, Kristen Stewart, Nile Rodgers and Marion Cotillard, who attended the show at the Paramount Studios lot, in Los Angeles.
