Four days off for public and private sectors.

Nothing likes the news of an upcoming national holiday to cheer up our Thursday.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) have announced that private and public sectors in the UAE will enjoy four days off work in August.

Eid Al Adha will begin on Saturday August 10 so you can mark Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday in your diary, before dragging yourself back to work on August 14. Eid Al Adha, or the ‘festival of sacrifice, is one of the two major festivals in Islam, celebrated on the 10th of Zul Hijjah.

There are still a number of public holidays before the year is up with the next one scheduled for September 1 to mark Hijri (Islamic New Year).
