Sometimes we need a break from the mundane and spend a moment looking at something truly dazzling.

Fusing the best of watchmaking with fine jewellery, Jaeger-LeCoultre has introduced two sparkling new masterpieces that we can’t take our eyes off.

Reimagining it’s iconic Calibre 101 that’s been part of the Maison since 1929, the latest diamond-set timepieces are celebrating the best of jewellery making with the craftsmen paying close attention to the bracelets and gem-setting first, before focusing on the watch case.

Both bracelets adhere to the classical high jewellery codes and are composed of pink gold set with diamonds, but the designs are utterly different.

Snowdrop model is delicate and feminine and features a circle of pear-shaped diamonds that surround the dial to form a flower. The waves of diamonds repeat the petal pattern in percise symmetry, all the way around the bracelet. The watch consists of 904 diamonds in total which took 103 to place, and that’s before we even get into the construction of the sparkling timepiece.

The Bangle watch is a little bolder and ideal for fans of Art Deco and 20th Century Modernism. The bracelet is set with 996 diamonds – total 19.7 carats – that graduate in size to emphasise the sweeping curves of the design. Unlike most bracelets that need a clasp, The Bangle opens with a simple twist of its two sides.

Both unique and breathtakingly beautiful, these are the kind of watches that become family heirlooms.
