Yes, Cannes Film Festival is about celebrating movies and documentaries from around the world, however it is also unofficially about red carpet glamour. While the A-list didn’t fail to impress us they were somewhat overshadowed this year by three sartorial darlings from Dubai.
As Cannes Film Festival comes to an end today (May 22), we look to the UAE-based fashionistas who managed to steal the spotlight from Hollywood’s starlets on the red carpet, and prove that Dubai deserves to be on the international fashion map.

At both the amfAR event, and the L’Oreal party, she was spotted wearing an Elie Saab dress and her hair was by Georges el Mendelek.

Model and TV presenter jetted to Cannes Film Festival to interview the attending celebrities, however the Persian beauty fast overshadowed the stars, including the legendary Susan Saradon who she interviewed and dined with at the Kering And Cannes Film Festival Official Dinner at Place de la Castre. Like Kahawaty she also represented the Middle East wearing designs by Georges Hobeika.
