Need something elegant to attend for a Mother’s Day treat? Or just want to spoil a friend that’s in town with something more than your typical Dubai brunch?
For the entire month of March, The Palace Downtown Dubai has the perfect solution.
Scenically nestled underneath the Burj Khalifa, the five-star venue will host a stylish afternoon tea inspired by BVLGARI’s Eaux Parfumées collection every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
What does a pairing like that involve, you ask? Think fragrant lemon-bergamot meringue tarts, and aromatic orange and fig cheesecakes, all influenced by the fashion house’s scents.
For an extra touch of sophistication, the entire affair will be accompanied by live music courtesy of harpists and violinists – so even though you’re in the desert, you’ll feel like you’re right in the middle of Paris.
There are two options to choose from, depending on the location and time of your choice, and if you’re bringing little ones.
The Lakeside Garden will be turned into a bucolic wonderland between 1pm and 4pm, featuring towering trays of sweet treats and savoury nibbles, all with a prime view of the world’s tallest building.
There’ll be an ornate display of the Eaux Parfumées range, along with live cooking stations serving up crêpes, pancakes, a rich chocolate fountain and tangy sorbets.
This one is for those aged 21 and over, however the Al Bayt Lounge and Terrace afternoon tea, served between 2pm and 6pm, will lay out a lavish spread for the whole family.
Guests can choose from delicacies such as foie gras, prawn cocktail and cucumber gazpacho, before rounding off the feast with desserts including the aforementioned lemon-bergamot meringue tart.
And though you’re looking at a collaboration between two luxurious brands, this limited-edition event won’t break the bank.
The Lakeside Garden option costs Dhs200 per person including unlimited tea infusions and coffee, or Dhs300 per person including unlimited juniper beverages. If you want to make a real occasion of it with unlimited premium bubbly, it’ll cost Dhs550 per person.
The Al Bayt Lounge and Terrace afternoon tea costs Dhs160 per person, including the buffet and unlimited tea infusions.
