Well played, Anna Kendrick.
It’s easy to forget about jumpsuits. Somehow they seem like a little more effort than a dress or separates (possibly just that they’re harder to get into) and they’re not often at the top of our lists of things to wear.
That’s about to change, though, because this Bahrain-designed jumpsuit on actress Anna Kendrick has us planning a few outfits.
The Pitch Perfect star wore a black, halter neck jumpsuit from Noon by Noor for an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in New York.
She paired it with a Fendi coat, Proenza Schouler bag, and Christian Louboutin heels – which she ended up having to walk in for longer than she planned. Kendrick posted on her Instagram story that her hotel was evacuated due to a fire, and she ended up going most of the way to the Fallon taping on foot.
It’s a great look, regardless, and as per we’re pleased to see a Middle Eastern label getting some love on the world stage.
Another local designer getting a bit of red carpet love this week? The ever-popular Zuhair Murad. The Beiruti label is never far from the spotlight, and this week they dressed Chinese actress Angelababy (real name Angela Yeung Wing) for an awards ceremony in Beijing.
The fully beaded gown has an A-line skirt with sheer panels. We’re particularly impressed with that almost-sweetheart neckline. Very pretty.
While we’re talking fashion, how about everything Sonam Kapoor has been wearing lately? There’s a swoonworthy Elie Saab in there…
