Lebanese designer Gaelle Khouri creates pieces that turn heads by focusing on complex compositions of abstract shapes. Working with layers of precious materials intertwined with diamonds, her collections drape over the skin and follow the movement of the body. Inspired by the the way Middle Eastern women adorn themselves in statement gems, her surrealist creations have become true objects of desire and are stocked on Net-A-Porter, Farfetch and Moda Operandi, among others.

She grew up in Tripoli and went on to study at American University of Beirut, securing an Economics degree with a minor in Mathematics. She continued onto New York University where she completed a Master’s degree in Economics. This has lead her intern at Oscar De La Renta and Elie Saab where she uncovered her passion for design.

Khouri founded her namesake label around four years ago and through it she shows her love of intricate workmanship and Lebanese heritage. Crafted from precious stones and shaped into dramatic silhouettes, her pieces make a statement without overwhelming.

She uncovers beauty in intricate and complex forms that echo architecture and art. Working closely with artisans and spending time getting to know the suppliers, she gradually grew her collections that can almost be described as avant-garde.

Expect pieces ranging from mythical creature to modern geometric shapes, each guaranteed to earn you compliments.
