In Sharjah, a new multi-brand shopping experience for exquisite Emirati fashion has launched.

Artal, a new venture by developer Arada located at Aljada’s East Boulevard, brings together a range of local fashion houses that cater to all style preferences including Shatha Essa, Takara, By Almuna and more.

Its launch event held in June brought upon a strong guest list from the local fashion industry including the attendance of HE Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq).

Designed to celebrate contemporary Emirati aesthetics, Artal reflects a meaningful space that matches its unique business model of empowering designers and providing a platform to showcase its creations and access to the tasteful society of Sharjah.

Here, Emirates Woman speaks to Zainab Salem, Founding Manager of Artal, on the concept and how it aims to pave the way for Emirati fashion designers.

Tell us about this concept and how has it been received.

I am proud to say that since the launch of Artal in the presence of HE Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), the concept has been receiving very positive feedback from Emirati women in particular and expats who are big fans of the Emirati fashion in general. We strive to offer our customers a unique shopping experience that celebrates the spirit and culture of the UAE through contemporary Emirati aesthetics.

What does Artal Fashion Concept aim to achieve?

As an Emirati woman and passionate fashion designer, we are aiming through Artal Fashion to empower UAE talents in the fashion industry. I am proud to be a part of Artal, which offers a space for Emirati fashion entrepreneurs to showcase their work and reach a wider audience. We are excited about what the future holds for this one-of-a-kind platform.
