Fashion and makeup have coexisted for years. From Chanel and Dior to Givenchy and recently launched Hermes, designer brands have long translated the colours and textures of each collection to makeup to help you recreate the latest trends. Not only that, but makeup is a great access point to your favourite Maison without breaking the bank.

One of the most colourful brands at the moment is Carolina Herrera headed up by Wes Gordon who in the past told Emirates Woman:

That mood is felt in the brands first ever venture into makeup – it is bold, colourful and daring. HERRERA BEAUTY, which launches in the Middle East next month, was developed by Beauty Creative Director Carolina A. Herrera in close collaboration with Gordon and the brand’s makeup consultant Lauren Parsons.

“Traditionally, makeup is something that you keep out of sight whether on your bathroom shelf or in your vanity pouch,” explains Herrera. “But it’s such a personal form of expression, why shouldn’t you wear it? We wanted to allow women to wear their make-up like a piece of fabulous jewellery.”

Designed to help you confidently express yourself, each product embodies the essence of a Carolina Herrera’s woman who joyful with a larger-than-life approach to fashion. The team focused on modern textures and colours that are flattering on anyone.

The current collection consists of 36 shades across matte, sheer and satin textures. Ranging from a minimal nude hue to dark burgundy Good To Be Bad shade, each stick creates a long-lasting result in just a few sweep and as an added fashion statement, you have a variety of caps and tassels to accessorise your favourite tone with.

The face powders, highlighter and mattifier all come in a stylish compact with each covered in one of the iconic Herrera prints.

“The Herrera woman is the one standing out in a bright pink coat, when everyone else is in black,” adds Gordon. “I wanted to translate the joy and exuberance of our collections into the Herrera Beauty line. The idea that a dress or an outfit can lift your mood and bring you happiness is a simple yet powerful concept, and I feel that makeup should be the same.”
