Beach ready

Weeks in lockdown has made us truly appreciate how much we love – and need – the many fabulous salons in Dubai.

To further protect themselves and customers against COVID-19, all of the establishments have been extra careful when returning to business by only introducing a handful of services, including nails and hair.

As things start to go back to a new kind of normal, salons across Dubai have brought back additional services, just in time for the reopening of beaches.

Tips & Toes, Sisters Beauty Lounge, NStyle Beauty Lounge, Pastels Salon and The Salon at Yin Yang are among those offering full body waxing services.

However, your next visit is going to look a little different to pre-coronavirus. All appointments have to be booked in advance, salons can only operate at 50 per cent capacity, temperature checks, hand and shoe sanitisation will be preformed on a arrival and all clients will be seated in a 4 sqaure-metre section.

All therapists also go through thorough checks and are required to wear masks and gloves along with a protective shield over their faces.

In addition, Dubai Municipality has listed other rules including strict instructions on the frequent cleaning of doors and handles, washrooms, client treatment area (which is also cleaned after each appointment), cash counters and POS machines, and more.

If you’re heading to the salon, make sure to wear your mask and gloves, removing only when needed. If you need help with you little one, one adult under 60 years of age can supervise a maximum of three children with only one aged between 1 and 5 years.

Smooth for the weekend
