Once in awhile, we come across a pair of shoes that haunt our waking mind until we finally get our hands on them. The Beyoncé x adidas Originals Superstar Platform sneakers could be our latest obsession.
The familiar codes of the classic Superstar sneakers have been elevated to an A-list level with the new silhouette featuring a chunky platform and a sharp toe.
The collaboration marks Superstar’s 50th anniversary. To celebrate half a century, Beyoncé has lent her elegance and perspective to the rubber shell-toe trainer which are part of her Ivy Park line. The raised platform adds extra height, exactly what an independent woman needs to run the world.
Ivy Park’s first collaboration with adidas was unveiled in January and included a tracksuit as well as sock boots. The brand then teased that she will also be creating some sportswear and footwear for the brand, and we guess these classic kicks are part of the partnership. Now that’s what we call a superstar collision.
