If you’re the kind of person often found with a phone in hand (yes, we’re including ourselves in that), then we have some very good news for you.

A brand-new retail experience is coming to the region, and it’s one that looks set to revolutionise the way we shop online.

Nisnass is the latest e-commerce launch from Al Tayer Insignia, one that’s targeted at digitally savvy shoppers of the “now” generation (we’re looking at you, millennials).

The online shopping platform is launching exclusively on mobile phones first, meaning a whole new wardrobe is just a thumb click away, before branching out into a desktop website later in the year.

So, all importantly, what exactly will you find on there?

Nisnass will house a full range of men’s and womenswear collections from January 29, as well as kids’ clothing, homewares and beauty products.

The app will be available for download from the Apple App and Google Play stores, and will boast more than 200 brands, including Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Gap, Nike and Puma.

You’ll also be able to shop a selection of cult labels, such as Storets, Style Keepers, KENDALL+KYLIE, Dedicated, Champion, Only and Jack & Jones.

“We want to offer a seamless and frictionless shopping journey across all categories therefore it is the right time to launch a unique lifestyle platform,” said Al Tayer’s CEO, Khalid Al Tayer.

“As such, we started with the customer in mind and built the technology around their expectations, by offering differentiated services such as two-hour delivery, personalised product edits and enhanced user experience through advanced technology such as visual search technology, which will allow our customers the ability to take a picture of any item they want and our app will automatically search our online platform for a match.”

Yes, you read that correctly—there’ll be two-hour delivery for shoppers in Dubai, following the lead of Nisnass’ luxury sister sites, Ounass.ae and Nass.ae, as well as next day delivery throughout the UAE.

The app will be available in both English and Arabic, and there’ll also be delivery options for shoppers in the GCC and the wider world.

The brand has tapped several local icons to star in its launch campaign, including Dubai-based style star and blogger Rhea Jacobs and Saudi Arabian artist Shaweesh, and you’ll be able to pay with cash on delivery in the UAE too.

We’ll bring you more on what the app has to offer when it launches, but in the meantime, we’re already bracing our credit cards for a hit at the end of the month…
