Two months ago, some of Dubai’s top restaurants came together, in collaboration with 7 Management and Emirates Red Crescent, in order to raise money for Beirut in the wake of the devastating blast.

A total of 84 food establishments took part – including the likes of Zuma, LPM, Gaia, Shanghai ME, The Maine and more – in Save Beirut and managed to raise a staggering amount to help relief efforts in the Lebanese capital city.

It has been revealed that a total of Dhs1.17 million was raised in one day on August 30 which will go to help the rebuilding the city of Beirut.

With a mixture of restaurants, cafes, fast food outlets and delivery platforms, it’s one of the most effective charitable initiatives that Dubai has ever seen.

The initiative saw restaurants, delivery platforms and fast food outlets join forces to donate a percentage of each bill – from 30 per cent to 100 per cent – to Beirut-based charities, as well as giving diners the option to add their own donation.
