Pub grub at its heartiest. There is an option of à la carte, where dishes range from curries to fish and chips and pizzas or a BBQ buffet where variety might not be the pulling point but its price and the delicious flavours (try the seafood skewers) make it an advantageous choice.
On Thursday’s and Friday’s you can enjoy BBQ food and drinks (beers and wine) for just Dhs265 between 7.30pm and 10pm.
Décor
The views are the main attraction, especially at sunset when the grand Dubai skyline is lit up in a beautiful pink hue. While the outdoor decking area embraces the casual atmosphere – people swim in the neighbouring pool, groups smoke shisha and BBQs fill the air with a hunger-inducing smoke – the interior is sleek, modern and trendy with a laid-back New York vibe.
Ambiance
Although the Palm boasts a high-end area code, the crowd here are delightfully unpretentious. While it’s smarter than most pool bars it’s not overbearingly so. This is where you can enjoy a fine wine and gossip with the girls or sit back with a cool beer and read the local papers.
