Holding-shotA week rarely passes by without an invitation to a food and drink fuelled, Friday Brunch.  It’s a must try for holiday makers, a great way to catch up with friends and the perfect excuse to wear our weekend best for us Emirates Woman ladies.

Although big fans of brunch, we have to admit, sometimes we find the vast amount of buffet style dishes and copious amounts of fizz a little excessive.

After a well-deserved brunch break, we couldn’t resist Ruth’s Chris Friday ‘Brunch and all that Jazz’ when the invite popped it into our inbox.

Priding themselves as a brunch with a difference, the high end steak house serves up dishes ‘family style’ for the table to enjoy, rather than having diners play musical chairs as they repeatedly go up to fill their plates.

We dined on seared Ahi Tuna and oysters to start, followed by delicious steaks for the main course. Our advice, ditch the usual fillet and try the rib eye – juicy and cooked to perfection.

The portion sizes were perfect, small enough to allow room for tasting lots of dishes without feeling like we’d over indulged.

Saving the best until last, the dish we’re still talking about is the Apple Crumble – a mountain of streusel crust, chunks of apple served with vanilla bean ice cream – seriously delicious and naughty.
