Tucked away downtown in The Palace Hotel, Asado is one of Dubai’s more authentic dining experiences, offering a mouth-watering menu of Argentinean delights.

Want a front row seat to The Dubai Fountains without the crowds? Then look no further than this ideally located restaurant, complete with its own sommelier. Be sure to ask for a table outdoors for unrivaled views of the Burj Khalifa.

DÉCOR

Low lighting and rich wooden furniture create a cosy and homely feel. Intervals of exposed brickwork add to the traditional feel of the restaurant and the glass front kitchen allows you to see the chefs at work.

Outdoors, candle light tables make for a relaxing dinner in a secluded corner of the hotel.

FOOD

You may want to have a light lunch, as you can’t help but indulge in all three courses when visiting Asado.

Catering for seafood fans, vegetarians and of course you meat lovers out there, the menu offers an extensive, but not overwhelming choice of Argentinean grub. Following an aperitif, start with a selection of empanadas – pie like bites with various tasty fillings.

If you’re after a traditional main course, opt for the roasted baby goat, the restaurants signature dish. It’s cooked over a slow-burning charcoal fire to enhance the herb marinade and lock in the flavour.

If fish is your dish of choice, the sea bass is equally as mouth watering, especially with a sneaky side of mashed potatoes. Whoever said fashionistas don’t eat carbs, hasn’t been to Asado.

AMBIENCE

Is it just us, or when visiting some of Dubai’s upmarket eateries, you aren’t always made to feel welcome. Fear not, if you’re after top-notch food as well as a comfortable and homely atmosphere, look no further than Asado where staff are super friendly and are on hand to recommend dishes and drinks alike.

We suggest calling ahead to reserve a table, as this place fills up throughout the evening, but not in a way that disrupts your dining experience.

WHY BOTHER?

Set against a beautiful backdrop along with delicious food to accompany, Asado is one of Dubai’s more authentic high-end restaurants and team EW would definitely recommend a visit.

GO FOR

The intimate setting is ideal for a romantic dinner but also a great place to escape the hustle and bustle after a long day at The Dubai Mall.
