This weekend we’ll be stretching it out for charity, sampling Latin American treats with a view and indulging in some kitsch knick-knacks for the home.

Yoga for a cause…

Calling all yoga buffs, sign yourself up for a yoga retreat with a difference from April 2-4.

Do your bit for two brilliant charities; The Latin American Foundation For The Future and Amantani. As both organisations have been hard at work to give kids in Peru a chance at education.

The retreats run by yoga experts Suzanne Robson and Caroline Leon, will take place at the Hatta Fort Hotel and will involve meditation sessions, detoxifying meals and a relaxing massage to ease those weary muscles all the while taking in the surroundings of the stunning location.

The three day retreat is priced at just Dhs1,799 with all profits going to this worthy cause. Both men and women at any level of yoga are welcome to participate. To book your space, email yogaretreatdubai@gmail.com or call 055 6930529.

 Rio on the rooftop…

If the hustle and bustle of The Walk at JBR doesn’t appeal to you then the brand new rooftop bar at the Ramada Plaza Jumeirah Beach Residence is sure to appeal.

Fogueira is a Brazilian themed lounge and restaurant that offers a truly chilled out experience al fresco.

Set on the 35th floor of the newest addition to the JBR skyline, the lounge offers a variety of shisha and drinks and for the peckish, the steak is a must to try.

Venture into the restaurant and you’ll be transported to the vibrant world of Latin America with live entertainment while you sample the authentic all-you-can-eat barbeque.

Visit here or call (04) 4398888 for reservations.
