After a long week back at work, following the festive Eid break and Fashion Forward, it’s time to slip on some flats, take a month-end breather and indulge in some rest and light recreation…
GOOD MED(ICINE)One of the reasons we love living in Dubai is because it’s so easy to travel to far off and wondrous places. But Dubai is also great at bringing the best of the world to our very own doorstep. This weekend we’re going to relax in the Mediterranean. Meydan Beach has just revamped their Med-themed restaurant and terrace, Sur Mer. We’ll be watching the golden sun set over JBR Beach with a fresh minty drink in hand while chilling to some soothing beats and nibbling on the freshest food from our favourite holiday hotspots.
Located at Meydan Beach: The Walk, JBR, Dubai

URBAN OASISWe’re going to let you in on a little secret: we’ve discovered the latest chillout hotspot in Dubai. Purobeach at the new Conrad Hotel is a urban sanctuary for those of us who like to relax, but also hate to be too far from the party. We’ll be set up in our private cabana sipping smoothies by the refreshing pool on the sixth floor while resident DJ Sasha transports us from lazy day into sultry night with some deep house beats.
Purobeach Urban Oasis is open from Sunday to Saturday 8am to 2am. For reservations call (04) 444 7111
BEND IT OUTDOORSNow that the blistering heat of summer has abated, we can return to the outdoors. Urban Yoga has resumed their outdoor classes at The Archive in Safa Park. On Saturday morning we’ll be breathing in all the fresh air and exhaling all our stress. After working our muscles, we’ll be popping into The Archive to sample their new breakfast and lunch menu treats (Ricotta pancakes – we’re coming for you!)
More information on the Urban Yoga classes can be found here. and the The Archive here.
