Before the summer heatwave kicks in, we’ll be making the most of the great outdoors with a picnic in the park and a beach-side breakfast.
A Novel Picnic…
Part bookstore, part café, BookMunch has fast become a regular hit for weekenders in Jumeirah.
With the weather still just cool enough to eat alfresco, we’ve been taking full advantage of the picnic deals.
The literary café offers a breakfast and lunch picnic basket filled with fresh take-away goodies. From gourmet sandwiches to salads and cakes, all can be enjoyed on Safa Park, which is opposite the café.
BookMunch will even provide a comfy rug for you and your group to borrow while you feast.
Prices start at Dhs220 for a four-person hamper.
Located in Al Wasl Square, on Al Wasl Road. Learn more here
Breakfast On The Beach…
After a Friday-morning beach run (or leisurely stroll in our case), we’ll be heading for a slap-up brekkie on the beach.
Bohouse on JBR Walk is our new favourite haunt for a morning refuel.
This colourful café has a prime spot overlooking the beach activity, so get a table outside and catch a glimpse of the morning surfers and eager sun-seekers.
You must try the Mexican-style eggs, fresh smoothies and refreshing coconut water – which we’ve been chugging ever since we heard it’s behind Miranda Kerr’s glowing skin.
New Shop On The Marina Block…
On Saturday we’ll be stopping by the newly opened Miss Selfridge store at Dubai Marina Mall.
Miss Selfridge is our go-to high-street spot to stock up on holiday essentials this summer.
We’ll be buying its bright bikinis, colourful sundresses and fedora beach hats – see you there!
Happy weekend!
