“Because my mother, who is also a fashion designer, has a West Indian background, I’ve been raised on Erykah Badu, and I’ve always liked that kind of sense of fashion,” says local designer Huda Al Nuaimi, whose creations are all unicorns, sophistication and embellishment. Ruwaya by Fatima Al Dhaheri, a designer who likes to keep herself under the radar and allow her pieces to shine, is a new interpretation of fine jewellery design.
