The homegrown brand, which debuted on the site on Tuesday, offers both everyday wardrobe staples and more statement-making eveningwear, such as colour-block midi dresses and metallic double-breasted jackets.

There’s also a wealth of printed kaftans and tunics that would see you through Ramadan in style, as well as transitional essentials including jersey crew-neck tops and silk shirts.

“We believe that a multitude of layers make up who you are. They tell your story and with the launch of Layeur, a luxury label dedicated to creating must-have pieces for the modern, modest dresser, we want to celebrate that,” said the site’s founder and CEO, Ghizlan Guenez, in a statement.

“We really listened to our customers, considering their needs and desires when approaching design, from the opacity, weight and cut of the fabric ensuring women get the coverage they need whilst also the fashion and comfort that fuels how they feel.”

The inclusive collection is available in sizes ranging from a UK6 to a UK24, The Modist added, and the vintage-inspired prints used are specially created in-house.

There are currently more than 50 pieces online, with each able to be layered and mixed-and-matched with the rest of the site’s offerings (with designers including Erdem, Roland Mouret and the UAE’s own ‎Madiyah Al Sharqi‎ among those online).
