All the bright young things rocked up for  the WEST L.A. Boutique bash, held on the beach at The Mina A’ Salam last night.

The hip one-year old boutique, now known in town for stocking cult US and Oz based brands, House of Harlow and One Teaspoon, tricked out the space with a La La Land theme.

WEST L.A. emblazoned golf buggies chauffeured guests towards the event, we felt as though we could be cruising down Venice Beach Boulevard.

There was a set of skater boys rolling up and down a ramp, the American flag plastered onto everything the eye could see, graffiti artists customising caps and shoes, and a girls on roller blades snapping polaroid’s of partygoers.

Local rock band Juliana Down treated the crowd to an incredible performance.

Many of the girls rocked leopard prints leggings and Wildfox T’s (purposely distressed) teamed with studded Jeffrey Campbell platforms, whereas the boys wore fedoras, leather jackets and super skinny drainpipe jeans in true indie style.

It made for a fashionable sight and EW was there to capture it all. See our party snaps below…

IMG_9899Owner Alia Korayem was the perfect hostess.

WEST L.As’ hands-on owner, Alia Korayem, has successfully tapped into a niche market within the region offering her young, cool customer base, hard-to-find labels with handful of other treats, including retro band t-shirts and pastel coloured hair dyes – a teen’s dream.

It seems only natural for Alia to follow the boutique’s popularity with a line of her own, which she showcased for the first time last night, finishing off the evening with a roaring applause.

The debut collection featured 12 fabulous looks, embellished with plenty of leather and lace. Alia’s collection were reportedly crafted by Versace’s couturiers, how could we not love it? We’ll be wearing that super slick leather pencil skirt as soon as it hits the rails.

WEST L.A. Boutique is located in Sunset Mall, Jumeirah.
