As one of the biggest foodie events in the region, the annual Abu Dhabi Gourmet Awards celebrates the very best in gastronomy. And at the closing party, the capital didn’t disappoint, truly showing off its culinary prowess.
The 16-day food festival closed with a five-course gala dinner and award ceremony held at the plush St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort. The top award for Best Restaurant went to Hakkasan at Emirates Palace, while Best Executive Chef went to a very jubilant Danny Kattar of the InterContinental Hotel.
In it’s fifth year, this is an event we always make room for in our diaries, because, well, a girl’s gotta eat! This year we were treated to a delicious feast with the dish du jour being succulent veal severed with cones of crispy shoestring fries.
