Last night we not only celebrated the twelfth Emirates Woman Woman of the Year Awards, but also the 35th birthday of Emirates Woman magazine. One major night, two milestones.
During the evening we celebrated women in the UAE, in particular the achievements of 26 individuals, who inspired a room of 400 guests. There were happy tears, standing ovations and powerful words of inspiration that made us all the more certain that feminism is alive and kicking in the region.
During the evening we updated everyone of the evening’s events through social media (@emirateswoman) with Facebook Live videos, Instagram Stories, tweets and Insta posts. The evening’s hashtag was #EmiratesWomanAwards, which our guests also used to document the night.
