While it may seem like the sweltering UAE heat is neverending, we have some good news.
It appears summer is officially coming to a close as, as of today, the Suhail star has been spotted.
When this celestial phenomenon appears, it is usually a sign of a shift in the weather.
Per the Khaleej Times, Ibrahim Al Jarwan, a member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences, explained the star was seen approximately 50 minutes prior to sunrise on Tuesday.
The sighting of the star marks a decrease in temperatures, meaning an end to the scorching summer heat in the UAE and the rest of the region.
As temperatures subside, humidity across the country will also decrease and there could also be a rise in storms and rain, as well as sandstorms.
Regardless, we’re just happy there’s an official sign that the cooler weather is on its way.
