And earned itself two world records.

Here in the UAE we know and love our fragrances, but it takes a whole new level of love to spend Dhs4.752 million on a bottle.

The Spirit of Dubai Parfums by Nabeel, one of the most respected and luxurious brands in the UAE, unveiled the new unisex scent during a glamorous Dubai event aptly named Shumukh, which in Arabic means “deserving the highest”.

Masterminded by perfumer Asghar Adam Ali, it was designed as a tribute to the sandy city and brings together evoking notes of amber, sandalwood, rare pure Indian agarwood, musk, pure Turkish rose, patchouli ylang-ylang, and frankincense.

Three years in the making, Shumukh is designed to last on the skin for more than 12 hours and on fabric for up to 30 days.

Why the hefty price tag? The bottle itself measures at 1.97 meters tall and is made of 18-karat gold that weighs more than two kilos. Add five kilos of pure silver, 3,500 diamonds, topaz, and pearls and there you have the most dazzling creation that rightly earned itself two world records for ‘Most diamonds set on a perfume bottle’, and ‘Tallest remote controlled (RC) fragrance spray product’.
