National Day Weekend this year is more than a celebration, it’s a moment in history as the UAE reaches its 50th anniversary. So, there is no wonder that some brands are taking this moment to dedicate designs and curate pieces to mark the milestone.

From local brands to powerhouses, brands are keen to show their appreciation to the Emirates through eclectic and exclusive pieces that are likely to be limited edition too.

Shamsa Alabbar

Shamsa alAbbar has launched a Token of Unity Collection. Comprised of four key pieces which are adaptations of their most iconic pieces to showcase the colours of the UAE flag.

MKS Jewellery 

A brand curated by Her Highness Sheikha Mariam bint Khalifa bin Saif Al Nahyan, to empower women to share their stories and express themselves. So it’s to no surprise that MKS Jewellery has created a special edition capsule collection dedicated to the stories of the women of the UAE in celebration of the 50th National Day. The collection is available to view at Abu Dhabi Art and proceeds will go to @alghadeeremiraticrafts.

La Marquise Jewellery

La Marquise Jewellery celebrates the UAE’s 50th National day with limited-edition pieces. All pieces are carefully handcrafted in the bold colours of the UAE flag. Featuring diamonds and gemstones the pieces range from gold necklaces, bracelets and an exclusive ‘Sands of Time’ titanium bracelet and brooch.

Piaget

Piaget’s Sunlight Pendant was launched to commemorate the UAE’s 50th National Day. The pendant features a diamond-studded sun emblem in 18k rose gold and is decorated with 147 white diamonds and the central diamonds are surrounded by emeralds depicting the suns rays. The pendant is exclusively available in the Middle East.

Jimmy Choo

To celebrate the UAE’s Golden Jubilee, Jimmy Choo has curated a limited-edition capsule collection. The colours of the collection are inspired by the UAE flag and the collection is comprised of seven iconic styles, an ode to the seven Emirates; the Saeda sandals, K-Slide 50 miles, Memphis trainer, Cloud clutch, Madeline crossbody. The capsule collection is available on OUNASS.

Judith Lieber

Judith Leiber designed a clutch exclusively for NET-A-PORTER to celebrate the UAE’s 50th anniversary. The clutch highlights the colours of the UAE flag in coloured gemstones, the clutch itself is silver, lined with leather and is embellished with hand-applied crystals.

Salama Khalfan Headpiece

Fine jewellery designer Salama Khalfan is known for creating bespoke pieces and her most recent partnership is an ode to UAE heritage. A collaboration with Mouawad saw them create a one-of-a-kind headpiece that features precious gemstones with a dazzling result.

Louboutin

The Golden Capsule launched by Christian Louboutin is the brand’s collection to celebrate the 50th National Day. The collection is exclusive to the UAE and combines Emirati textiles and ornaments that are all hand-crafted and hand-finished. Gold is the colour of choice to highlight the golden jubilee as it weaves across all the styles of the collection of women’s, men’s shoes and bags.
