But really, did we expect anything less?

It was rumoured for an age, then it happened all at once: Indian actress Sonam Kapoor has married her entrepreneur beau Anand Ahuja.

We’ve already brought you news of her mehendi and what she wore for the wedding itself, and now, it’s all about the reception.

Despite the couple’s star status, their Mumbai vows were a friends-and-family affair. That’s in line with what Kapoor told The National when she was in Dubai last.

“I think the whole idea of a marriage is more appealing to me than a wedding,” she said in April

“I think there is too much money spent; it’s all very crass, and I would rather give that money away. I’d rather have a wedding at home than anywhere else.”

Kapoor stuck to her word—she and Ahuja made their vows at the home of one her aunts.

That doesn’t mean it wasn’t a well-dressed event, though. The couple coordinated their reception outfits and looked incredible.

Please note Ahuja’s kicks. Makes sense for the owner of a sneaker store.

Their guests were no less slickly attired, either. Here’s Arjun Kapoor pictured with his three sisters: Jahnvi, Anushla, and Khushi.

One advantage of being a fashion designer is you always have something to wear. Here’s House of Masaba’s Masaba Gupta in her own brand.

Actress Amrita Arora went for this look from Manish Malhotra. Stunning.

And we’ll sign off with this clip. It’s not strictly style-related, but we couldn’t pass it up.

Yep, that’s Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan singing for mother of the bride Sunita Kapoor. Outstanding.
