It’s sheer, it’s long and it is oh so romantic – we get a sneak peek at Frida Giannini‘s one-of-a-kind Haute Couture wedding dress by Valentino Maison, and we’re in love.
Valentino posted a sketch of the stunning dress, created by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, on the brand’s Instagram account. The Italian fashion house also gave us a sneak peek of the blonde beauty in her dress, posing with the CFDA awardee designers.
Frida Giannini, the former creative director of Gucci from 2006 to 2014, turned to her two old pals to help make her big day extra special as she tied the knot with her long-term partner Patrizio di Marco (previously CEO and President of Gucci).
As two big fashion players it was no surprise that the stylish couple also enlisted Valentino’s creative directors to design a special Haute Couture gown for their five-year-old daughter, Greta. The elegant mini gown perfectly complimented the bride’s blush pink, ethereal number.
Although pictures are only beginning to surface, according to WWD, the wedding actually took place on June 5 – on Marco’s birthday – at Sabaudia, a beach resort about 60 miles from Rome.
The newly weds have both kept a low profile since departing from Gucci back in December 2014, and are yet to reveal their next move within the industry – hardly surprising really, planing an A-list wedding is surely reason enough to keep plans on the back burner. However, with their big white day out of the way, we’re sure – after their no-doubt glam honeymoon (details on their post-wedding celebrations have been kept secret) – that the duo will have some big and exciting news to announce… We can’t wait!
