Kim Kardashian’s popular shapewear brand Skims was only founded in 2018, but in less than four years it’s been valued in the billions.

According to Bloomberg, Skims has doubled its value in a year and is now worth $3.2 billion. An additional $240 million from investors reportedly led to this valuation.

“This latest round [of funding] will allow us to focus on bringing more innovations and solutions to our customers and become even more of a trusted resource for them,” the founder reportedly said in an email according to the news outlet.

While the brand initially launched as a shapewear line, over the last four years Skims has gradually diversified now offering underwear, loungewear, slippers and even masks were launched during the pandemic (they were so popular the first drop sold out in less than 24 hours).

Skims has become such a household name, Kim even collaborated with Kim Jones, creative director of Fendi, to create capsule collection, Fendi X Skims.

The initial launch of the collection, which included a swimsuit and a leather dress, brought in over $3 million of sales within the first 10 minutes.
