Florals, fringing and fuchsia, oh my!

She’s long been one of our style muses, but HH Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned has served up a wealth of sartorial stars of late.

The former Emir of Qatar’s wife visited Sudan and Tunisia over the last week, meeting with companies, world leaders and charities as part of her work as a global ambassador for children’s education.

And while the mother-of-seven raised the profile of several foundations and learning programmes during her visits, she also looked as perennially elegant and put-together as always.

We’re getting some Annie Hall realness from this waistcoat and shirt combo that the Sheikha wore to an alternative learning centre. The best accessory, however, has to be her beaming smile.

For her landing in Tunis, the royal donned this refined overcoat… but it’s the encased-stone belt that really turned our heads.

We’ve always been a bit fearful of wide-leg pants (just how do you balance that much trouser?) but Sheikha Mozah is inspiring us to snap up a pair, and team them with a chic, Jackie-O style blazer with a nipped-in waist. Bonus marks for the unusual neckline and icy-blue hue.

This pale pink, fringed two-piece was the perfectly demure – but still statement-making – choice for a meeting with HE Beji Caid Essebsi, President of Tunisia.

Those. Trousers. Love, want, got to have.

This easy, breezy chiffon in hot pink feels like a 21st-century update on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang‘s Truly Scrumptious, especially with that prim-and-proper neck tie.

This is going straight into our ultimate top five of Long Black Dresses, with its floaty panelling and Fifties-inspired bodice.
