Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, has shared a special tribute to mark Mother’s Day, which is celebrated in the Middle East on March 21 each year.
To mark the occasion, Her Highness shared a statement to WAM, highlighting her gratitude for Emirati mothers, as well as mothers all over the world, pinning them as the “backbone” of society around the globe.
“I have always believed that mothers are the backbone of nations,” she said. “Inside every mother is a nation full of love and authenticity.”
“She is an oasis of creativity, innovation and endless giving which she transforms to her children.
“We see these qualities in our loyal sons and daughters, who follow the guidance of our wise leadership and aspire for our country to be at the forefront of a better and brighter future.”
The Mother of the UAE and wife of the late Sheikh Zayed went on to personally commend and thank “Emirati mothers and mothers of martyrs and all mothers around the world” for their commitment and sacrifice to others.
“We are proud of your dedication and sacrifices, which embed love, hope and humanity across the globe,” she said.
