Known for his surprise visits to some of Dubai’s most exclusive spots, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has shown us yet another “hidden” gem (quite literally) to pay a visit to next.

A new pop-up café named Hidden has recently opened its doors in the heart of Dubai’s sandy dunes and it’s already received the royal seal of approval within the first few weeks of its launch.

With a covetable bohemian charm and minimal aesthetics, this café is sure to become a popular destination for guests to visit on their next visit to the desert, particularly now the Dubai Ruler has given it his stamp of approval. From rope deck chairs to cosy campfire options, guests can lay back and unwind in the utmost tranquillity.

A couple of weeks ago, Sheikh Mohammed paid a low-key visit to the spot, which the venue shared on their official Instagram page.

The caption said: “Thank you for visiting our “hidden” gem Your Highness @hhshkmohd we are so overwhelmed & full of gratitude.”

This sophisticated destination opened its doors last month and is the perfect place to spend the remainder of the cooler months in Dubai.

One of the key elements that stand out here is a mirrored installation to discover the scenic beauty around the visitors. All guests also have an opportunity to take those reflected mirror selfies, whilst basking in the serenity of the desert and to embrace nature’s natural surroundings.

Situated in the midst of the desert just after the Al Marmoon Heritage Village, this highly sought-after hotspot is open on weekdays from 4pm to 12am and on weekends from 4pm to 2am and is still in its soft opening initial phase.

While the weather is still on point in the UAE, Emirates Woman also recently created a guide of all the must-visit desert cafés in Sharjah to take advantage of this season.
