‘A whole new world is waiting for us’
While we are very much still in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai and Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, is ensuring Dubai is also thinking about life post-pandemic.
During a virtual cabinet meeting held by His Highness on Sunday, May 3, he instructed ministers, council members and experts to start developing a strategy in order to re-establish economic stability in the country in both the short-term and long-term.
Similarly His Highness also stressed the importance to increase the level of productivity and competitiveness of the medical industry sector across the nation after the COVID-19 pandemic.
“A whole new world is waiting for us and this new world needs new tools and new priorities,” Sheikh Mohammed said, adding that the UAE “will be ready” for life post-pandemic and that the nation “will recover very soon”.
