Fountains, fog and the Burj Khalifa.

We never lose sight of the fact that we live in a pretty crazy city. A quick glance out the window at the Palm Jumeirah would take care of that, even if we did.

Even so, in the right light Dubai can kind of take your breath away. Enter HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Crown Prince of Dubai and a keen photographer, HH Sheikh Hamdan’s Instagram page is a must-follow for those with an interest in the city. His latest video manages to pack many of our favourite things about Dubai into one timelapse.

There’s the 848-metre Burj Khalifa, for one, showing off its light and laser show. The Dubai Fountain is also in evidence and looking gorgeous below the rest of the downtown skyline.

Combine that with the rich shades of a desert sunset, and then some light fog rolling in as the city wakes up the next morning, and you’ve got a compelling argument for Dubai living.

Nice one, Sheikh Hamdan.

Elsewhere on the ‘gram, Dubai’s crown prince has been spending some quality time with the family. Here’s a shot of Sheikh Hamdan with his father, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and his younger brother, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Charmed life, right?
