La Cantine du Faubourg, located in Emirates Towers, is one of the staple restaurants in Dubai which has been amongst the emirate’s dining scene for over a decade.

But, did you know it’s now got a secret venue hidden within its walls? Enter Gohan, the new Japanese restaurant concept by the team at La Cantine.

The space is small being able to seat no more than 30 diners at a time and the other day His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai was one of them.

Known as a huge foodie regularly making an appearance at many restaurants around Dubai, the Crown Prince paid a visit to the new speakeasy hidden within La Cantine.

Gohan translates to “meal of any sort” and describes their menu as “elegant street food” consisting of skewers, sushi and gyoza.

While the restaurant may have been a well-kept secret previously, now that Fazza has paid a visit the word about Gohan is well and truly out.
