HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum has shown off an Emirates first class plane ticket heading to London Heathrow.
On Monday, the Crown Prince of Dubai took to his Instagram story to post a photo of a ticket showcasing the date of the flight, Monday June 1, along with the time of the flight, 7.45am, and his name – Al Makthoum/ShkHamdan.
This flight to London is one of the current daily services with Emirates from Dubai Airport, which resumed on May 21.
Along with the service to London Heathrow, Emirates currently has flights available to Frankfurt, Paris, Madrid, Milan, Toronto, Chicago, Sydney and Melbourne.
However, it appears the ticket was a teaser for a wider message from His Highness that Dubai is “taking off again”.
On the same day he posted the photo of the ticket, the Chairman of the Executive Council led a meeting of the council at Dubai airport Terminal 3, highlighting how the airport is the “beating heart of the world”.
“We have learnt from Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to defeat the impossible, and to turn the challenge into an opportunity to consolidate our achievements and benefit from our readiness and to rapidly adapt with new reality,” he explained.
“This experience has provided us with a significant boost ahead to maintain our achievements so Dubai remains the best city in various vital sectors, and to start a new phase with strength and competitiveness.”

His Highness went on to discuss how tourism will be a key factor in helping Dubai recover from the economic trials and tribulations which the emirate has face during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It has and will always be a tourism destination and the beating heart of economy, as it faced major global crisis and demonstrated once again its ability to over overcome it with a stunning model to emulate,” he said.
“Today, we are ready and we announce to the world that life continues, and impossible is not in our dictionary. And the good news is that things are good, and today we are more competitive to deal with the post-COVID-19 era with confidence and innovative thinking to set a new model in dealing with pandemic and consolidating efforts.”
