The popular sanctuary has several venues dotted around the city, but it’s the latest venture could be it’s most ambitious. Part of its new concept THE SPA PEOPLE – a guidance platform for wellness businesses in the region – the much-loved chain is opening SENSASIA Stories flagship in the newly refurbished Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates.
Promising 4,000 sq/ft space of pure tranquillity, the newest relaxation hub is set to open this month and invites you on your own personal journey through Asian wellness practices.
“At SENSASIA Stories, we are giving clients the option to select every element of their treatment – from stroke to scent, to intensity – as well as offering a whole host of enhancements,” explains SENSASIA founder and creative director of THE SPA PEOPLE, Salina Handa.
“We will, of course, offer the treatments our clients know and love, but I am very excited about the individual ‘Stories’ that are about to unfold at this unprecedented SENSASIA concept,” she adds.
Let’s start with what you can expect from the newest spa offering. The warm interior design concept was developed around a central courtyard, punctuated by contemporary interpretations of traditional Asian arch structures. Inside you will find six unisex treatment rooms, one couples’ suite offering total privacy, separate male and female changing rooms and therapeutic relaxation areas, complete with heated beds.
Bespoke facilities include experience showers, an ice fountain, herb saunas, steam rooms, and a Jacuzzi. The team is also bringing an element of virtual reality to some of its treatments by offering guests headsets that will visually transport you to the world’s most beautiful destinations – from the idyllic beaches of Seychelles or the sweeping mountains of New Zealand. Perfect for those who love a guided meditation with a modern twist.
The creative process continues into SENSASIA Stories treatments where you are completely in charge of your experience. All you have to do is a book a time slot and let the therapist create a tailored treat just for you. Of course, fans of SENSASIA can also expect their all-time favourites on the menu including The Ultimate Recovery massages; Warm Milk & Honey body wrap and The Essential Spa Ritual.
