So, it’s the 23rd and most of the EW team have flown to cooler climes for the festive period.
I, on the other hand, am spending my time Christmas shopping, attending events and trying not to eat all the goodies that are coming my way in the office…
The world’s largest Christmas tree cupcake was delivered by Hey Sugar. Yes, I did have a piece, and yes, it was glorious.
In the space of one day, we received these cupcakes from mywardrobe.com, a box of these dreamy delights from Blossom Sweets, fortune cookies courtesy of Palestyle and last but not least some stollen and chocolate goodies from the Grand Hyatt Dubai.
As always with this time of the year, events are coming thick and fast – one that was a clear winner was the IWC Schaffhausen event.
A perfect Dubai night with my Fendi fur, friends, France’s finest and Bryan Ferry – say no more!

During the daylight hours, I took a trip to a Tiffany & Co event to live the legend over brunch…
I then hopped, skipped and jumped it across the road to the Hermès event where the French house was launching a new set of ties designed by the very talented (and charming) Miguel Chevalier.
Never one to do anything by halves, Hermès had set up an installation that was out–of-this-world wonderful. It was interactive so when you walked towards the screen the images changed, music heightened and prints intensified, of course I had to try and make it even more interesting…

While taking yet another trek to The Dubai Mall, I discovered a selection of these rare Gucci shoes at the Gucci boutique at the Level Shoe district.
Unfortunately, these are not for sale, just on loan from the Gucci museum in Florence – so if I can’t have the old, I will most certainly have the new! Welcome to my wardrobe – I love you.
To end the week with a purchase of the vintage variety, I visited the lovely Maha at Bambah on beach road. I always find a goody or five in this treasure trove of vintage finds and this visit was no different.
Spots for the summer, and this Christmas knit for après ski.
In between holding the fort at EW Towers and enjoying this amazing weather, you will find me…

Shopping for fabulous glasses I don’t need as I have 20/20 vision
