So much has happened in the past couple of weeks, I was so glad to have the long weekend to recover. After packing up our offices and saying goodbye to Garhoud, it was hello to a long weekend…
My office before
My office after
My office now!
WINTER
AUTUMN
SPRING
SUMMER
As with all addictions, one hit is never enough, so post C.L. heist, I hightailed it down to my new favourite haunt, Level Shoe District at The Dubai Mall, and (after trying them on over four separate visits) I finally got these Azzedine Alaia winged boots. Every time I put them on, or even look at them I start singing “One day I’ll fly away…”.
Being National Day weekend, there was nowhere better for me to be than at the parade, which took place just steps from my front door…
A certain highlight of the weekend was meeting Roger Federer. I love tennis and have followed Federer throughout the years and jumped at the chance to meet him in person. Nothing could have prepared me for how charming, funny and ridiculously heart flutteringly handsome he was. High five to the marvellous people at Moët & Chandon for choosing Roger as their ambassador for the brand.
Moët Hennessy’s Agathe Tissié, me, Roger and EW Style Editor Jade.
Another certain highlight of the week was the Roger Vivier event where I caught up with Emirates Woman of the Year nominee and possibly the most elegant lady in town, Rosemin Manji.
My week came to a close with a visit to the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters. Thanks to the lovely ladies at Omega, I was kitted out and wined and dined in the luxurious surroundings of the Omega Chalet – the only way to watch golf in my opinion.
On my way out, a quick pit stop to the Motivate chalet was a must…
In between watching films at The Dubai Film Festival and getting the January issue to press you will find me…
- Shopping for these great accessories at Bloomingdales Home. They are made by the children at Al Noor so buy them to support a great cause.
- Wearing my favourite new top from Forever 21.
See you next week,
Sophia
