So, I decided to take some days off – and where better to take a trip than Down Under? I am from South, but this time I flew into the West and enjoyed one of the hottest summers on record, if only for a few days…

My first stop was at one of my favourites Aussie labels, Peter Alexander. He does the best PJs, and night-time accessories which I like to wear by day.

DSCN0185A visit to Perth is not complete without a visit to Claremont. It has the best mall in Perth (Claremont Quarter), some amazing stand-alone stores and the best calamari salad in town  (Atomic).

Later that day…

Whilst in Perth, I was fortunate enough to see the Picturing New York exhibition, which is a six-part MoMA exhibition at the Art Gallery of Western Australia. New York is without a doubt my favourite city in the world, so I whiled away the afternoon and came across my favourite Woody Allen quote: “There is no question that there is an unseen world. The problem is, how far is it from midtown and how late is it open?”

I of course had to exit through the gift shop, saw this and chuckled…

I took a quick trip to the Fremantle Markets: definitely worth a pit stop for some interesting finds like these kitschy chairs for my beauty bureau and this new wrist candy. The fruit and veg market is also worth a wander.

I also spent some time in the wine country of Perth, Margaret River. The food and drink is fabulous and the lemon sorbet at Simmo’s not half bad either.

All good things come to an end so ta-ta for now, Australia; can’t wait to see you again!
